Will new software really help the business?

Their Situation

A well-managed and established real estate agency was enjoying great success and had a marketing plan that was delivering terrific results. But they felt it was time to undertake an internal health check on their expenditure to investigate potential cost efficiencies.

As part of that financial health check, they spoke to an extremely good salesperson offering new software that would help the real estate agency manage their marketing efforts. The software would be purchased as a monthly subscription with a price tag starting at $600 per month.

Our Task

Klarity Lab were engaged to independently review the software to determine its effectiveness for the real estate agency. In addition, we were asked to explain the software’s technical details in plain English.

Recommendations

After reviewing the client’s current software against the new software, Klarity Lab identified there were a lot of similarities between the two. In fact, if the real estate agency took full advantage of the capabilities of their existing software, there would only be one pain point remaining and the new software didn’t solve this problem either.

The Outcomes

  • The client is now utilising the full capabilities of their existing software without incurring any additional costs
  • The independent technology review has saved the real estate agency at least $600 per month
  • They have re-prioritised their business goals and realised they need to focus on other areas before they start looking for a solution to their outstanding software pain point
